Was the attendance really 8,117 at Wimbledon? 15:42 - Jan 26 with 1472 viewsIllinoisblue

Can only assume the stand on the TV camera side is way way bigger than the other three stands.

The one to the left of the away fans as you look was a small stand - probably less rows than the away end

Yep. The Mrs had the QPR/Swans match on and there was only 8k there too. Shocking for a club knocking on the door of the top 2 in the Championship. Especially in Laaarndan - there's not exactly a shortage of people in that part of the world.

I wouldn't say 8k in L1 is too bad, but yeah it did look more.

Indeed, it's the one behind Wes Burns in this photo.

Oh right, my mistake I thought they said 8k. 12's better but still not great.

Very non-league. Classic League One to go from that to Hillsborough in the space of four days.

That’s actually a nice looking stand compared to what’s around it.

They are planning to build a 2nd tier above each of the 3 smaller stands over the next few years, finances permitting...

Did you ever go to the original Plough Lane? That was a non-league ground hosting 1st Division games in the late 1980s up to 1992

The attendance was about 1,100 below capacity but the ground looked pretty full to me. And of course, there may be some season ticket holders who didn't turn up because it was an evening match and pretty cold.

The main stand looks great but the rest of the ground looks very temporary. Either they spent all their money on the one stand or they have long term plans based on future success.
