Actually got back quicker and easier than from Charlton. I managed to get the 22:42 from Kings Cross back to Cambridge and was indoors for midnight.

Easier to disperse from Wimbledon I think given the multiple transport options whereas the bulk of fans at Charlton are heading for the train station.

I was home by 22:40, small recompense for the rail replacement buses coming up on Saturdays.

I saw you on the way back to Earlsfield station but my Suffolk stroll meant I couldn't keep up enough to say hello. Err, so a belated hello Steve !

Got to Liv St 10.31 so missed fast train by a minute. Had parked at Colchester so caught the slow one to Colchester 11ish.

Got to Colchester around midnight and was home 20 mins later.

Wouldve been a lot quicker driving but the journey there wouldve been a nightmare so probably best decision. Reckon I'd have made the 10.30 without the police closing the road but hey ho.

Had a few a round Earlsfield afterwards and got back to Wandsworth for about 11:30. For the best that they called time reasonably early in a couple of the pubs we went to.

Ah, was one of those games where there seemed to be someone I knew every time I turned round. Total contrast to Wycombe when I hardly saw anyone I knew.

So, belated "Hello, decent win that etc etc".

After walking around half of Wimbledon got back to my car about 2220. Got back home to the south coast and in through the front door by 2335.

Easy away match for me.

If anybody heading to Ipswich got the train before 11:30 then they did bloody well.

Like others have said it was about a 45 minute wait at Liverpool Street.

Stayed in London. Couldn't get back to Lowestoft, so didn't try.
