A lot of that I’m sure is a contrast to them and how well we kept the ball at times, and generally overpowered them off the ball when they were in possession.
But good to have that reminder. Our sharpness with the final ball/finishing is still a concern but easy to forget that we’re doing everything else pretty well.
The goal itself was scrappy but it was all about getting players in the box and then putting in a ball. I’d like to see a bit more of that rather than trying to pass our way into a shooting position. Bonne even had a few chances with that approach last night – and probably just wasn’t used to getting them. |  |

No disrespect to McKenna he's not going to go out there and say it was alright is he after a win and kill the mood. It was alright, but we have f'all up top again which is the only real concern for me from the last few games. Bonne is burned out, Piggot looks awful when picked, Norwood is the wrong side of 30 and Jackson hasn't delivered for two seasons. If we had brought in a forward during the window from the league above I think we would stand a chance. |
The wrong side of 30 is always an odd criticism for me. Ronaldo is 37, Murphy was 32 when he scored 27 championship goals. Was Norwood too old when he scored 4 in 4 when McKenna came in? |  |

We were ok. |
Our finishing was poor, but we controlled things for much of the game, and created good chances. We need one or more of strikers to start firing again, but I didn't see much else to complain about last night. |  | | |
