A stupid question 18:49 - Feb 25 with 1712 views | Coastalblue | From a self confessed stupid man. Why does Putin keep referring to the Neo Nazis in Ukraine, when they have a Jewish leader? I'm genuinely baffled by this and I'm sure am missing some obvious point somewhere. My general history is quite good, but will confess I know little about this region.

A stupid question on 18:55 - Feb 25 with 1657 views | J2BLUE | Probably for the same reason as he's calling them drug addicts. Facts don't matter. Same reason the Nazis made so many disgusting untrue accusations against the Jewish people.

A stupid question on 18:59 - Feb 25 with 1630 views | Churchman | Just propaganda. For Russians/those who suffered unimaginable horrors 1941-45 the term Nazi is about as abusive as it gets.

That almost makes a kind of twisted Putin sense, thanks.

It's not something I know enough about, I've been trying to educate myself in my spare time this week. Despite Ukrainian insistence, I guess Putin would never see himself as more akin to Hitler than the Soviets before him. I can only presume it's something that plays well at home to his Nationalist support base so has merit (not that our current PM's cartoon Churchill schtick would be much different here)

Strictly speaking, does it count as a 'smear' if it's literally what he said?

The badger does like to pop along for his regular pat on the head from the glaswegian. It’s an odd one when you consider that he has spent his adult life backing the very party that has systematically made Badger’s chosen career as challenging & underfunded as possible. Still, I suppose an uppy and a clappy emoji has its value though.

Blimey, it works though. Last time I got a clap, a Hattie Jacques lookalike set about my dishonourable member with a large needle.
A stupid question on 20:21 - Feb 25 with 1039 views | lowhouseblue | it's displacement. in terms of fascism putin ticks almost all the boxes. russia defeated hitler. the best way for a modern russian fascist to hide it is by calling other people fascists. [Post edited 25 Feb 2022 22:33]

| And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show |
