we are 'only' 9th in the form table over the last 8 games. We are averaging two points per game - trouble is - so our most of our rivals. It really does feel like this week's home games are must win.

Town have 3 draws in those 8 games - more than anyone else. That's what kills you in this league.
If we had beaten Cheltenham and lost to Morecambe the play-offs would be a point closer.
Town need to go for the win in every game from here on in - if that means going gung-ho in the last 10 minutes and risk losing to a goal on the break then so be it - draws are no use to us now. | | | |

Really changes a lot depending on how many games you include. According to Flashscore, going back:
- 5 games we are 6th (9pts)
-10 games we are 4th (21 pts)
-15 games we are 4th again (29pts)
So 8 game view takes in the sheff w loss and not the two wins preceding it. It’s actually a fairly arbitrary index | |

That's the lowest in the form table we've been at any point over the last 10 games, so a bit unrepresentative. We have got to really push on a little bit more though. This was always going to be a challenge as so many clubs are putting in a sustained runs. We may end up wishing we'd got rid of Cook a few weeks earlier. |  |

From what I've seen, Town have been going for the 3 points, even in games which we've drawn. I reckon we'll need 80 points to make the play offs so that's 8 wins from 10 or 7 winds & 3 draws so tonight really is a must win. The following 3 games are all against fellow play off contenders. |  |

Someone started a thread recently with all the teams run ins but didn't include Bolton.
In my eyes they're a good side in good form and have to be considered as being very much in the mix too. They've also got to play Plymouth, Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth at home in the run in. They've won their last 6 on the trot at home. | | | |

As others have said, why choose 8?
I can also get us into lowly 9th by choosing 3 games, 8 games, or 22 games. ALL other 'games' values are better than that, and mostly about 4th to 6th over KMac's tenure.
