For me ...the Cricketers was a regular meet up/hang out pub from, I would say 1969-71 as a very young teenager! My school was opposite, car/garage showroom next corner and I lived close by. Another local back then was the Mulberry Tree on Woodbridge road when I was barely 14 years old. Landlord knew my family and turned a blind eye to my age when at the bar for a beer. Watched the 1970 World Cup Final there in colour with the rest of the gang!
