Ray Wilkins - I think Ray Wilkins is / was one of my favourite men in football. For those who haven't seen this it's well worth a watch when he stood up to the fans when he was at Millwall.

the only ever reserves game ive been to watch at playford road, he was up there watching too, stood pretty close to him and the way he spoke about ITFC was brilliant, knew more about the club than i did.

I’m not 100% sure why but he absolutely loved Ipswich.
As previously mentioned I think there was loose talk of him coming here but I don’t think it was ever really a thing.

Always came across as a really nice and genuine bloke I felt. Shows the type of character he was standing and talking to those Millwall fans. A huge loss to the game.
Funnily enough, he was probably my favourite non-Ipswich player when I was a boy. I think it was because he appeared regularly in the Shoot magazine! I do remember a rumour that he might sign for Ipswich, I think this was just after we won the cup. Wasn't he Chelsea's youngest ever captain - 23 or about?
