As I said before the game, there is a lot to look forward to. Disappointing we couldn’t get over the line in this game but it was never going to be an easy fixture.

I think just a bridge too far now for the play off positions, but lots of positives to take forward into next season. McKenna has certainly got us defending better and we are hard to score against. Just need to bag a few more goals and turn these 0-0s into the odd cheeky 1-0 and we should be strong next season. |  |

We don't score enough to make a play off charge. We don't create or convert to the extent needed to win tight games and the speed with which we attack is nowhere near quick enough for the most part.
Promise for next season but, considering the attacking players at our disposal, we're disappointingly blunt too often. | |

One goal in six games and we basically did enough in four of them to win, arguably against MK Dons too but that was a much tighter affair. However, we were not good enough in the final third. In one way it's great that we are dominating and getting the ball up front but it's frustrating how often we struggle to take the final step. | |

In 15 games we’ve conceded five goals. That is the basis of a very good team. Any side that can do that is likely to be top two, never mind the play offs. Yes, we need more up front but I’d rather build a team this way round than putting together the defence as an afterthought - as Cook did.
In the first league 15 games, we conceded 25. Ok, 5 we’re against Bolton and we scored more freely, but not enough to win any of our first six games. We’ve been playing catch up ever since and however depressing the league table looks, an average of two points since Christmas is good. Especially after the Charlton debacle early Dec. | | | |
