Was it from 81-82 then? I just assumed it was 80-81 season, maybe because in my head I thought they would put an episode on for the corresponding weekend of the season.
In that case, ignore me!
Edit. Would definitely be 81-82 as Nodge got relegated to Div 2 in 80-81. And on checking the 80-81 Arse game was in April. We lost 4 games in 5 in that period, the one win coming at Villa of all places. [Post edited 19 Mar 2022 12:41]

Match Time Revisited was a double bill this morning, the first episode showed us losing at Everton with Neville Southall making his debut. (October 1981). Poor George Burley still hasn't made an appearance since the injury that cost him his UEFA Cup Final place.
Unsure why Denis Law is speaking in a received pronounciation / Scottish accent. Even more unsure what Alan Biley's barber was thinking.
Note the lack of Pioneer shirt advertising because of TV rules at the time. Man Utd had no such problems - they hadn't even attracted a shirt sponsor at that time (Sharp was still in the future) [Post edited 19 Mar 2022 12:46]

Worse than I thought. |
That was the annoying thing about Nodge. Even during our periods of league position dominance over them, they always seemed to pull results out of the bag against us. Especially in cups. Even in the two seasons that led to our promotion under Burley, we only took 2 points of a possible 12, losing both home games.

81/2 was that one. I always thought Police moved Town back toward top( I was in the far section), let them in, Town surged back down till separated bu the thin blue line. My mate was on back of Sunday Mirror, big pic. He was still a skinhead , a look that had pretty much been superseded by Casual on the terraces by then, so he stuck out like a sore thumb, perfect Red Top fodder! | | | |

It does seem to get forgotten that we were in a better position to win the league in 81/82 than the previous season. We had barely any involvement in the UEFA cup that year, and domestic cups were over by Feb. | | | |

There used to be a tall skinhead who went. Rolled up jeans, dms , Harrington etc. Often saw him at games. He was always up for trouble. I'm sure his name was Tim. That's all I can remember. [Post edited 19 Mar 2022 13:03]

Queues were massive for the west stand so my dad had the bright idea of us going in the away bit of the north because there were no queues. I spent the whole game worried we’d score, dad would celebrate and we’d get set upon. Doh. | | | |
