He looked fit and sharp to me, which is obviously good. One horrendous piece of decision-making to give them a corner aside, he didn't play any hospital balls inside and, as you say, looked confident enough to dribble at and run beyond opposition players. Both he and bakinson (who was my MOTM yesterday, mainly because i was so surprised with how well he played) have taken a long time to get up to speed but they are there-ish now. You can see what mckenna sees in them. I think the problem was they came into the team unfit when the pressure was on to win every game. Maybe they were signed with next season in mind and will be made permanent early in the summer window. | |
