Reinforces to McKenna, Ashton, recruitment team etc exactly what our problem is and that investment is still needed to turn us into top two material.

Because the previous one bought a rather unbalanced squad that he didn't really know what to o with?

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

With the exception of the Bonne loan we haven’t invested in strikers for ages.

We need a proper fix in the box striker or two and we will be fine.

It was unbalanced because, as you say, Cook didn't know how to create a tactic based on the players we have at our disposal. McKenna has done better though clearly we're not the finished product.

I would still ask the question to anyone who says we do not have best squad in the division on paper, even now, then who has? At the start of the season who would we have switched with? Would we really have wanted the Wigan, Rotherham or MK Dons squad over ours?
