So if we aren’t allowed to comment on Boris being fat, does that mean we can’t mock Vladolf being a midget. Or will you also be offended by that as well?
Isn't it easy enough to judge Johnson, Putin, whoever, without resorting to irrelevant physical characteristics?
Unless you've got proof of the Napoleon complex or that obesity causes narcissism it's just playground name-calling.

No, but a little person who might be an Ipswich town supporter might well be offended. Not hard is it.

to mock his lying
"Boris Johnson is to tell millions of overweight Britons to get on a bike to shed the pounds and survive COVID-19. Launching a massive anti-obesity campaign,* the prime minister will order GPs to prescribe cycling to lose weight as he attempts to put the nation on a diet."
Whereas the bloater is even fatter now - quite an easy reminder of how much the porkie PM.................tells porkies
*as expected there never was any campaign, just lies

So body shaming lower league referees is cool, but not the Prime Minister who describes himself as fat? OK.
Makes sense from the poster who was crying over child abuse one minute and defending Ghislaine Maxwell the next.
I never said it was cool, no it's not. However at least Bloots is smart enough to realise people with eating disorders might well be offended by the constant reference to someones weight.
As far as your other accusations, you are as usual, wide of the mark. However your constant pettiness is noted.

They can be offended as much as they like. So far as I know it isn't a crime. And we're all about freedom of speech, yah? Thought this was the brave new world of free speech we wanted?

Constant pettiness. Ha!
Says the poster who chased me around over a typo for hours!
That's hilarious.
It's all just noise to people like you isn't it.
Instead of wasting your time posting the same rubbish how about learning a little on the differences between verbs and adjectives. That'd be time better spent.
Neither you or your mate there know what you're talking about nor are even familiar with the commonly known references that have been recited in the thread.
You have no interest in the matter, be honest.
You're being pathetic, the pair of you. Chasing other posters around, hating them for being better informed than you.
Bloots doesn't need your approval, he's been around a long time and is a big boy.

Are you hitting my personal pressure points? No.
Are you hitting some other TWTDers personal pressure points? Almost certainly.
Is it necessary to get the point across? No. If it's Johnson's hypocrisy over his weight issues that is your strongest point then you need to hone your skills. Yes, he has weight-control issues and has been hypocritical about it.
You'd be more effective in getting your message across by sticking to commenting on what he says and, more importantly, does.

Bloater has not been issued with his weight (fat)
He is getting fatter because he is eating too much. You do not need to know much to know that - so it should even be in the grasp of you righties
And I am reminded of this U Boat captains defence of his 'glorious leader

i think you posting such absurd nonsense as
" he has been Zelensky and Ukraine’s closest ally during this crisis " is always going to provoke a response
Up until the invasion Blubba was a Putin apologist, happy to trouser millions from Putin via intermediaries as a quid pro quo for attacking the EU. Blubba's thoughts on the EU are certainly not shared by Zelensky as Ukraine’s wants to join the EU.
Whilst the EU countries have quickly and readily taken in EU refugees, the UK has blocked them at every stage, butting up barriers to their entry.
You may not be bright enough to grasp Blubbas visit is no more than an attempt to distract from problems at home, not least Blubbas being beholden to Putin, and even defending Putins annexation of Crimea.
Blimey. What a way for some people to spend a glorious Sunday afternoon and evening.
Anyway. Sorry to piss on your parade H but….
Zelenskyy “The other democratic countries of west should follow the example of the United Kingdom.”
Zelenskyy “Johnson is a leader who is helping more. The leaders of countries react according to how their constituents act. In this case, Johnson is an example. Britain is definitely on our side”.
zelenskyy “The leadership of the United Kingdom, in providing our country with all the necessary assistance in terms of defence, as well as leadership in sanctions policy, will go down in history forever.”
Has the UK been good or bad in taking in refugees from Ukraine? We’ve been absolutely woeful. Most other European countries have been head and shoulders in this regard. We have a shameful record on refugees. And that’s not just limited to those fleeing war in Ukraine. The hostile environment is endemic in this Tory government, and has been since May was Home Secretary.
However, taking in refugees won’t help win the war against Russia. Military support will. And in this regard the Uk is the main ally of Ukraine. Alongside the US, we were the first to send lethal aid to Ukraine.
Domestically, Boris Johnson is a disaster as Prime Minister. But in this situation he and the government have stepped up to the plate.
If all people do is be partisan and criticise, even when he is doing the right thing, then all of their criticism becomes meaningless and becomes just noise.

All absolutely fair points GB, none of which will make me any less cynical about Johnson's trip to Kyiv which I think Noggin* correctly nailed as as a photo op (as a means of persuading others to help more it seems a little contrived and probably less effective than meeting with those "others").

GB, “people”, haven’t been criticising Johnson for this action.
They have been mostly been reacting to A. Some people think this is a singular noteworthy thing that only the UK PM has done. (It isn’t) B. As a consequence, are somewhat cynical about posters that generally support Johnson, and Johnson himself.
But your first sentence is curious. Is it more notable that people choose to have a discussion on a Sunday afternoon, or start the Monday early, with quite a bit of copy and paste, and minor mis-representation? What’s the difference?

I see some countries continue to remain militarily neutral during this invasion
As somebody once said, “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”
If I was from one of those neutral countries who don’t send one piece of military equipment to defend a city that is being flattened such as Mariupol, I may consider keeping my gob shut whilst the United Kingdom continues to lead the way in providing Ukraine the lethal aid it so desperately needs.
I don't know what's worse, the people who don't see this as the quite obvious publicity stunt it is, or those citing mental illness and body shaming who have never shown any interest in those subjects before they were directed at their hero.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

As for your accusation that I am a troll, that is hilarious coming from you. Not that you ever post insulting messages on the internet in order to annoy someone, no sir!
Also your buddy H states on the thread " If it rattles a few cages, and upsets a few righties. What is this if it's not trolling?
Like I said, buddies being buddies.
Anyway I'm out, got better things to do.

While Boris Johnson would never be my choice as PM it needs to be accepted that as far as military support is concerned he is doing the right thing.
It maybe that the architect of our policy is the defence minister but it needed the leader to recognize this.
I feel genuinely sorry for those so prejudiced in their judgement that they can’t recognize this.
Going to Kiev was the right thing to do, especially if it helps to push other Countries into being more supportive.
I don't know what's worse, the people who don't see this as the quite obvious publicity stunt it is, or those citing mental illness and body shaming who have never shown any interest in those subjects before they were directed at their hero.
Dismissing this visit, the extra military aid that went with it and the positive words coming from Zelenskyy is simply talking over Ukrainians.
It’s quite possible to be clear and critical about Johnson’s awful failings as a domestic Prime Minister while applauding what he is doing for Ukraine. It’s certainly what Ukraine says it wants & needs.
Anything else is British exceptionalist assumption from you that you know better than those insignificant Ukrainians.
Edit. For context, I don’t think it was a publicity stunt when von der Leyen visited the day before, or any other western leader who has visited or continues to give Ukraine the help it needs.
This is a serious situation and should be above petty party politics.
