Yeah, this was picked up at the time of his statement. All the high profile tax cuts are pretty much offset by the changes to the student loans. Funny how Sunak didn’t really mention it.

Pretty sure there are other loans such as Help to Buy mortgages linked to RPI. That, after the first five years is RPI + a percentage that increases every year.

Much of Government Debt incurred in Covid times is also linked to RPI.

Suspect there are many other things linked in the same way.

Your perception of what being at university actually is I'm finding to be a bit tenuous, there's no one I've met at uni who I'd describe as 'wasting their time', which I've seen many (usually not university educated people shockingly enough) suggest is endemic to higher education. Uni's definitely not the right path for everyone, but its certainly one I'd recommend for anyone interested. Ultimately a degree is going to open doors that are otherwise much more inaccessible. I certainly wouldn't rule it out to anyone who's still at school. Its only now I'm at university that I've discovered what I really want to do with my life career wise.

Plus uni's fun, I'm yet to have a night out as crap as a night in Ipswich.
