Looks like the old "gamesmanship " is on 05:53 - Apr 25 by Veggie
It will kill football if somethings not done about it.
Independent timekeeping would help. Along with more referees booking players like Richarlason for his historionics of falling down like he’s been shot when he gets breathed on.
Heaven knows why players can’t get retrospective bans for simulation in the same way that players can get retrospective bans for violent conduct that goes unpunished
So all the moaning after games that it only happens in L1 all seems a bit silly now. It happens in every league across all levels of football. Nevertheless, it is still embarrassing to see.

I would love this. Nothing more frustrating than seeing a yellow or worse given when a replay shows there was sometimes literally no contact at all. If players started getting retrospective yellows - even if only for the most extreme cases - then I think we'd see less of it. There's almost no down side to the play acting as it stands. Compare the number of cards a team gets for simulation in a season, and compare it to the number of cards and set-piece chances the rolling around can get you in your favour and the maths is clear.
This sort of stuff is probably one of the things I hate most about the modern game.
