I read that as: “Norwich City FC has literally nothing and there’s nothing to show for what was the most disappointing of sporting participation. That is termed as nothing short of laughable” bollox.

They're all rational balanced people. I used to post there, but don't anymore. No fallout, although I suspect they would indeed view me as a confused prick at best, traitor at worst.

Oh so they didnt know? There board is a bit sh1t in more ways than one. it never has mega debating threads needing a moderator for one. Do you quite fancy becoming a town fan on the quiet?

Back to the point, I agree with you, Ullaa. Becker’s situation is not a tragedy. It’s completely of his own making. The judge said "You have... sought to distance yourself from your offending and your bankruptcy. "While I accept your humiliation as part of the proceedings, there has been no humility." Well maybe a few months away will give him a chance to reflect on his actions.

How true. Given my mother was Norfolk born and (in)bred along with literally all her family going back centuries, I’m fortunate my dads family all came from Suffolk and the ITFC brand was applied at the earliest possible age to prevent any possible mistakes and possible exile to a distant land. Once you have your club. That’s it. End of, game over, you’re doomed.

He's obviously behaved extremely badly (and stupidly - did he really think he'd get away with trying to hide all the trophies he's won, which are clearly on the public record?!) but I do have a small degree of sympathy in that he lost a lot of his wealth as a result of an apparently very messy divorce. Of course it could be argued that there again he shouldn't have behaved so badly, but many people do and aren't punished as hard as that.

I actually like the bloke from how he comes across on tv, we don’t know him and it’s not for the likes of me to judge. I understand what you are saying and don’t disagree regarding punishment inconsistency. My comment was very much based on what the judge said and about him taking responsibility for his actions.
