One of my all-time favourite Ipswich Town players. I hope he returns to us in the future.
The first at MK Dons has to be the best, but the one against Wycombe was also an absolutely beauty.
They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

Is there a compilation of all his offsides anywhere? I've got a spare couple of hours...
I'm actually really gutted for the bloke. It was a fairytale at first playing and scoring prolifically for his hometown club but after his purple patch turned into a horror film.

Just a shame they were all so concentrated in three months, that first one was a lovely moment and I think the first against MK is slightly forgotten about given how early in the season it was - some goal though.
Bonne might easily have had two or three goals on Saturday, he played well enough for that.
Such confidence, shooting from all angles, composure. Sadly, the longer he went without a goal, the further he got from that, which was all a sorry downward spiral. Still, really enjoyed having him here.

I hope he returns too, he is blue, through and through. Can't help but think he is going to do a Will Keane on us if he goes elsewhere. Question is, why did the goals dry up, needs to work on his psychology (as well as maybe offside positioning), both solvable though you would have thought.

I think there's a pretty strong possibility. Keane left us age 27 and had never scored more than 3 goals in a season. Bonne's 26 and has hit double figures in a season 4 times already, including once in the league above.
Wouldn't be surprised if someone in the Championship still thought they could get a tune out of him (think he'd fit Wigan and Rotherham's systems better than ours, for instance).

I think keeping an eye on the Bonne situation could be intreaging this summer. If we don't get our main targets and he's still up in the air who knows if we might get him back.
