We have now hit over 15k season ticket sales 09:39 - May 11 with 1423 viewsabracaDOBRA_

Says Mark Ashton from the recent interview. That's phenomenal isn't it? Remember when we were scraping 15k in the championship

The days of 12,000 under Mick and knowing that there were no more than 9,000 actually in the stadium.

What a contrast.

I said when GameChanger took us over that this Club has a phenomenal dormant fan base that would take off once it became obvious that there was real change going to happen.

We need to build on it though or it won't last. It didn't after the steady improvement under MM from 2012-15 because results didn't hold up.

Bit different tho, as we never sold anywhere near 15k, and the football although effective, wasnt one that made you want to buy a ST.

The nice thing is you now see families, with young kids coming to PR. Really feels like the next generation have got the bug, which under Evans i dont think would happen

You are right in the sense, if we linger down here for too long it wont last

exactly, results got worse, football got worse, investments and interest from the owner was dreadful....

none of that was on the fans

It's why the coming season is absolutely *vital*. I know we say every year that it'd be a disaster not to go up but, at Steve says, this quite extraordinary backing won't last if we're d7cking around down in L1 for a lot longer. If we get it right this time there's potential for this to go a long, long way — I think that's very clear.

Quite. What we've currently got is a 'Lambert bounce', albeit with an actual apparently competent manager in the job to fuel the optimism this time.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

And yet we were closer to the Prem under MM than we are now.

Had MM actually been backed the way McK and Cooke were under Gamechanger - you've got to wonder if we'd have been in the Prem - if we were - then even under MM we'd be getting 25k+.

That said, that ship has sailed.

Despite the media trying to convince us otherwise, Football isn’t just about the premier league. Most people go to football either out of routine or for entertainment.

Arguably these next 2-3 years could be far more enjoyable than scrapping away in 18th-19th in the prem.

It’s probably one of the reasons we’re seeing high numbers, people are starting to realise something big is happening.

I think this is spot on. In some ways, I'd rather us languish where we are playing the football we have this season, than go higher and revert to boring football.

If something big is happening how can it be that we have just finished lower than last season and in our worst position for 69 years?
