Town admin have just wished Gio Dos Santos happy birthday on Twitter, a player they've never wished happy birthday to before, who played for us 8 times in 2009 and who happens to be a free agent now. 🤔
Whilst the sentiment of resigning Gio fills all Town fans with happiness - I personally wouldn't take him.
33 y.o has scored 4 league goals in the last 4 years. Has also had a year out of football recently I believe. I'm he will still get better money in South America/North America than he'd get here.
Was a little wizard back in the day though, absolutely loved him.
I do wish our fan base wouldn't constantly resort to wanting to sign ex-players who were once great for us, but now, 13 years later, who's legs have gone.

Pablo is available too I believe.
I'm not sure people are particularly wanting us to are they? I wouldn't rule out a high profile 'novelty' signing like this though (even if not Gio) as the owners obviously have form with Drogba.

Are you joking? There are always posts on here about us going back in for ex-players. Waggy was the last I saw.
Admittedly its not the whole fan base, but it seems a popular thing to go after for many. Look at the number that have previously wanted to go back to Burley as manager when vacancy has come up, despite him not having been in the game for years.

I'd take Joe Royle back or Mick McArthy. Shame he was hounded out by the idiots.

Ah, fair enough. i don't tend to take much notice of posts on here!

I would have thought McKenna would be well aware of him from his Spurs days.

Could never understand why we signed John Wark for the third time.
