I see this as more about celebrating the person than the position, and regardless of your view on the monarchy and whether it should continue I think she's been a hard working selfless person.
Yes she's lived in relative luxury all of her life, but she could very easily have just enjoyed that and paid lip service to the role.
I'll be working all the way through it anyway so not really going to get involved but have no issue with what in reality is a celebration of her life, she won't get another one of these, not sure there will ever be another Jubilee celebration of any sort. |

I think you’re struggling to get the point.
I am very lucky to be where I am. I wish to enable more people to do that too by, ya know, calling out and avoiding inequality in society.
Being privileged is not an issue. What is an issue is coming from a privileged position to take from those who don’t, or explain away those inequalities. Sort of like the Monarchy does.

At no point did I say “over privileged” either. I’m just a comfortable mid tier earner who is self-employed and gets flexibility in my hours, which took me a decade to get to.
