Why would workers being keen to take redundancy rather than work under the mew conditions be in opposition to one another? Surely the fact there are many who would rather take redundancy is supportive of the idea that operating the service with fewer staff is not attractive to the staff!
It is almost like they want to misrepresent the motives of the strike action.
Any upsurge in voluntary severance suggests the workers aren’t happy about something. The Telegraph is a nothing short of a propaganda rag these days though. Best avoided!
