Cheers, I just looked him up and see he is from Ipswich, I wouldn't have guessed by his accent. As for the model reference, he's a handsome bloke, which with him being from Ipswich and Boxer should almost be an impossibility! | |

I don't think he sounds like he's from Ipswich at all, he's talking what us rural Essex people would call "Mockney". I mean Wolfie and Bonne have a bit of Mockney but you can tell it's still Ipswich, with this fella I honestly thought London. I wouldn't have guessed he was from within a 100 miles of Ipswich. | |

Yes, I think the accent has definitely changed and become less Suffolk since I was growing up there in the 60s and 70s. In those days, the London accent tended to stop at Colchester. I suppose we have things like Eastenders to thank in part, as well as more people moving from, and commuting to, London and its environs. [Post edited 14 Jun 2022 14:29]
