Huge change happening up the road on 12:16 - Jun 17 with 3591 views | giant_stow | Isn't this something to do with being able to stitch it cleanly on clothing? I'd like to ask the designer why the margin between the castle/ dragon and left edge of the badge is slimmer than the margin between the canary's head and the right edge. I'm sure there must be thinking in it, but not thinking I get. [Post edited 17 Jun 2022 12:17]

You sure that's a dragon Ull,s? Looks like a underfed tiger about to be squashed by a lego block. Next to a sparrow perched on a pea. It's obviously got a deep symbolic meaning, I just can't work it out

I think they were clearly keen to move the ball in the centre, but if they'd extended the canary - sorry, budgie - further to the right it would have looked more like it was going to topple off the ball than it does already. I think it's an improvement without the fussy black edging, and the castle and lion/dragon thing are much improved. But where's the airport? [Post edited 17 Jun 2022 12:22]

I agree - it’s an improvement. Perhaps a hungry looking cat lurking in the background licking it’s chops might add something or just turn the kitten under the castle round. [Post edited 17 Jun 2022 12:31]

Huge change happening up the road on 12:36 - Jun 17 with 3315 views | dirtyboy | It's an improvement. We did exactly the same thing with our company logo, took detail away, simplified. A colleague said it's a bit simple.....we mentioned Nike and Apple seem to get away with it lol | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Good thinking an the ball being in the centre is better... I would have made the castle / dragon-cum-lion (!) smaller and moved it to the right a bit, I reckon. THat margin is annoying, like the ball was.

Huge change happening up the road on 13:17 - Jun 17 with 2843 views | STYG | There is something very off about the whole thing. I get the need to clean it up and the benefits and with the castle and lion they've done a great job. It's simple, but retains detail and looks very crisp. The canary looks like it was done by a different artist. Massively over-simplified, not in keeping with the lion detailing and it looks really, really poor. They should have put the same detail into the canary as before. They've made the lion more complex and the canary less complex rather than balancing the two. [Post edited 17 Jun 2022 13:21]

It has to be a reference to the win over Bayern as the margin ratio appears to be 2-1.

I thought the two windows signified the number of actual wins they've had in official European competitions, but now they've taken it up to 4, they must be including all their draws as well.

Hoppy you're a designer aren't you? What are your thoughts from a purely professional point of view? The canary is hideous I feel, right down to the fact it has a ball instead of a foot. Why not just outline the foot in green on the yellow ball like they've done with the wings? Seems a lack of consistency from the lion to the canary wing to the ball.
