I'm going tonight and really looking forward to it. We saw Elvis on his own at the de la warr pavilion earlier in the month he strummed a few songs including Ship Building and sat a piano for his take on Joni Mitchell's A case of you - Just stunning. He also did a Q&A and I managed to ask him about Glasgow Blue earlier post regarding Almost Blue (Song)not being on Almost Blue (Album) to which he gave me a full and expansive answer about the album being recorded in Nashville with it being full of country influence and the the song was just his take on Chet Bakers. Most importantly, I also said I was looking forward to seeing him in Ipswich to which he responded " it's the best venue in East Anglia and that he hated "Narwich". Love the the boy named if.
Costello too but his voice was buried in the mix a bit too much at times
Did Costello do any surprising encores? Back in the 1980s he finished one show at The Gaumont with an unaccompanied rendition of Randy Crawford's 'One Day I'll Fly Away'.

I've been Sittin' and Thinkin' about this. Anything Painted from Memory could just be a Brilliant Mistake. After all, Imagination is a Powerful Deceiver.
