... the budgies seem to be getting worked up about a number of their staff jumping ship to come to work for The Pride of Anglia. There's a four pager on the Oink 'Un about it; it's a little bit angsty.

https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/148625-head-of-academy-coaching-leaves

NB: They seem to call us 'binners' for some reason if I'm reading it right. I guess that's a contraction and mis-spelling of 'has-beens'? What would the same treatment of 'never-wases' yield?

No it’s a reference to an old episode of Lovejoy, featuring a binman wearing an ITFC hat.

They’ve always called us binners, something about bin men or whatever on some comedy sketch. Strange.

think 'binners' comes from a a 30 second clip from Lovejoy back in the 90s where a dear refuse collector was wearing an ITFC cap. Quite lame but as long as it makes them happy.

What was it that Glendenning got upset over a few years back? Was something ITFC related or something that someone said to him that he commented on on Twitter?

Was it you upsetting him, Bloots?

....Mick.

As a result he took great pleasure in our relegation and wasn't afraid to say it:

That's it. Thanks.

I recall it now.

Assuming he's not a Norwich fan and he's only interest is being mates with Mick or a fan of Mick then that's still a very aggressive and disproportionate amount of happiness at our demise.

Phil is secretly Callis? That would explain why so many right wingers got banned

It was on the Drama channel only recently. Episode called: Bin Diving. Warren Clarke played the foreman of a bin lorry wearing a Town baseball cap. (had a northern accent as well for some reason) He wore it throughout the episode, a bit longer than 30 secs hence the bird brains up the road associating us with refuse collectors. They were probably mad as hell that the entire series featured Suffolk and very rarely Norfolk.

I think you will find, but cant be sure, its from a 1970s comedy series called 'The Dustbin Men' where one of the refuse men used to wear a Town beanie or scarf...cant remember which.

They're absolute weapons grade cockwombles when it comes to "banter" aren't they? This is a fanbase that brought you 1p5wich with no sense of irony, and a poster celebrating a last second draw.

I hope they do a Derby and their lives are filled with ennui for generations.

Yes, it emanated from this episode

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0637181/

in which Brian Nun (played by Warren Clarke) leads a refuse-collection team. He wears an ITFC baseball cap in pretty much every shot of him.
