With the signing of Harness would you say that ends our interest in Celina, Phil?

Phil

Would this be a loan or permanent deal? If a loan, then would Dijon and Town be negotiating who covers what percentage of his contract? If term are being agreed with CB, then would this not be a permanent or loan to permanent deal?

Loan, from what I gather. I don't know the precise terms but from what I'm led to believe clubs have made an agreement that Dijon are happy with and then talked wages with the player.

Forgive my ignorance here, and my knowledge of this is entirely based off Football Manager, but if it's a loan deal aren't any issues with wages negotiated with the club rather than the player? As he's still under contract with Dijon so it's just about what percentage of his wages we pay?

Not sure of the precise details, but I assume a flat figure has been agreed with Dijon and then the clubs have been negotiating with the player. Whether Dijon have come to an agreement with BC re with some element of his wages I'm not sure.

If you do a loan with an option to buy... do you have to have a future salary agreed if the full purchase was to happen.. or could you wait to discuss 2023/24 salary only when the full purchase is then confirmed.

I do wonder if that's the hold up on wages.. rather than his salary for this season.

I would imagine the option to buy could include a promotion clause. That would mean agreeing Champuinship wages rather than League one.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Stoke agreed terms, we haven't was the crux of it. I don't think Dijon are particularly bothered where he goes. As far as I'm aware the same deal had been agreed with them by both us and Stoke, and I assume the interested Turkish clubs.

So basically his ex in France doesn't want him, there's a chance of getting with his mistress again (Ipswich) but there are a couple of other suiters in the mix. Stoke are really fit but they aren't interested without a condom, while Ipswich are really interested but aren't willing to put out as much?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Under English law, my understanding is that the clubs collectively have to honour the original contract, so it would be case of agreeing how much of CB's wages each club covers. Unless, they are seeking to renegotiate the deal, on lower terms?
