Cool spots in Suffolk 08:07 - Jul 19 with 945 viewsbluelagos

Short of walking around the freezer section of a supermarket all day, got nothing.

Head to the beach and there's no shade. Ipswich pool on Norwich Rd went years ago.

Anything? Anywhere?

Even Crown Pools was shut because it was too hot inside.

Seeing as you are temporarily retired I would strongly suggest sitting at the end of the bar in a quiet non food orientated pub.

I think Cider is the order of the day.

You could put several layers on including a leather jacket and go for a bike ride?

One of my regrets in life is not discovering Aspals earlier. A youth drinking Strongbow, Woodpeckers and all the time a few miles up the road...

I'm told The Smokehouse is very cool.

Broom Hill is on its way back.

Not sure when it's re-opening - maybe when they re-open the Ipswich tube station for it.

My stepdaughter's boyfriend was a bit disparaging towards Aspalls the other day. He's treading on thin ice...

Ready! Steady! Cook!

You could get down to a woodland nature reserve, it's usually several degrees cooler in amongst the trees. Wolves wood at Hadleigh maybe, or head into one of the forests.

It's a little known fact that trees cool the air in two ways, it's not just the shade they cast that keeps things cool, the way in which they expire acts like a sort of air conditioning too.

Lets hear it for the trees.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.
