It's up to the Conservative membership now. There's some who wanted Johnson on the ticket so they could vote him back in. There's some who are livid that Truss (backed by the Daily Fail) maneuvered Penny Mordaunt off the ticket. There's a lot who don't want either candidate. There's some older members who think Truss is Thatcher reborn and get a stiffy. So, in short, the one who gets in will have been voted in by a load of loonies.
So yea, we need a GE pronto.
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

"Some older members"? Most of them haven't got their own teeth, let alone any idea of reality. God help us all if that vacuous bint gets in.
One of the daftest things recently has been Starmer saying he would under no circumstances talk to or form alliances with the LibDems or the SNP. How does he expect to win an election without their support?
The numbers do not add up for an outright Labour win without Scotland and all the Northern seats (not every one of which will swing back), plus very substantial gains elsewhere.

Starmer is just playing hard to get. He'll crumble when he has to.

Because he knows those other parties will demand polices which could harm Labour's chance of even forming a coalition.
SNP will demand an immediate referendum which will (potentially) break up the Union and may stop those outside Scotland who are against it not voting for Labour.
LibDems will demand joining the single market immediately which then breaks out the brexiteers who potentially don't vote for Labour again.

He's lying.
Avoids the tory finger pointing "vote this; get that"

At the last GE as I was queuing at the polling station, some doddery old geezer had to ask his less doddery but still old and blue-rinsed wife, which was the right box to tick.
Now, I don't know that they were voting conservative, but I would have been surprised if not.

Then what happens if the country reject Labour?, which seems absolutely possible.

I understand imposter syndrome to be when someone perfectly capable feels like they are not good enough and not when someone entirely incapable is operating 50 levels above their maximum.
Still Boris has set the bar so incredibly low on standards and actual substance of being PM that Pingu could do a better job.

Plus you can vote for the new PM if you are not a British Citizen and live abroad. As long as you are a member of Conservatives abroad.
Which costs a fiver and has no checks, if these tweets are correct:
Just tried this with my Greek details and it works. Massive, dangerous loophole. Hilariously ironic, for a party wrapped in flags and faux patriotism, to give random people with a fiver abroad, more say in who gets to be PM, than actual UK voters.

5 more years of open bigotry, corruption, incompetence and criminality.
You could be right, this country needs a new centre party, because the answer is definitely not red or blue. Because as we both know you could have described either party with your comment.Still Liz will please the libs as thats where she come from and the anti royalists and remainers.
