Big screen is not very big is it? 14:50 - Jul 25 with 3457 viewsSimonds92

Hope its meant to be used for replays and showing us the halftime interviews/ entertainment. Otherwise whats the point? Bigger adverts?

Yes it can’t be wider, but it feels like it should be taller/ squarer

It's totally unnecessary really. Bit of a waste of money this one....IMHO.

Better adverts.

Well when TownTV is launched I imagine they’ll have interviews on there with people like the mascots. a returning legend or something , pre-match and HT entertainment, replays maybe.

I presume its height is dictated by common aspect ratios of screens. How many square screens do you know? Do you have a square TV to fit more of the picture on?

Feck me the amount of people who can moan about a screen. It's ridiculous. I really despair some of our fans at times.

It's a screen, its' fine whether you think its needed or not, whether you think its the right size or not - and no it is not in the stand or taken away seats away

It will show team line ups and if and when needed will be able to communicate VAR decisions.

Half the ground won't be able to see it though, will they?

It seems pretty pointless to me if just the chav stand and Magnus stand can view it.

Screens only really work in pairs.

and here we go again, moan moan and make up BS - half the ground, what nonesense.

Only the back rows of away support and a few spots in the Sir Alf will not be able to see the screen. 2,000 seats at most i would say...

The chav stand??

It’ll be visible from almost every seat in the ground.

I would imagine it's a money generator as it's additional advertising space that we can sell. If the payback on it wasn't good I doubt we would have bothered.

As for half the ground not seeing it, I think that's an exaggation but unavoidable that some wont when you've only got 1 screen. The largest stand can see it, and typically the most occupied stand relative to it's capacity can see it, so it's better than nothing.

If it's only a couple of thousand then fine. It just looked like pretty much all the Cobbold and Churchmans wouldn't be able to.

Difficult to tell until actually inside the ground which is why it was a question.

‘What can we moan about today’

On my Football Manager save, Ipswich reached the 2029 Uefa Cup final at Atletico Madrid's stadium. On the 'social media', Town fans were moaning that it was a rubbish stadium to play in.

I thought it was unrealistic until reading threads like this.
