I think had we been singing that to the fans of the big clubs in thus division them it’s banter , but ( for me anyway), to sing it to fans of clearly much smaller club / set up who have never been thus high in the league before is disparaging and makes us look small minded.
Thus I’d just my take on it . Of course if this forum is bit about views then I stand corrected . |
Lighten up AM. You could also make a case that plenty of their fans were there because of the glamour of a ‘previous UEFA Cup winners and champions of England’ as it said on their website when and twitter. |  |

Most football chants are repetitive, unoriginal & inane & reflect the tribal nature of football. However, the noise generated helps create an atmosphere, which is an essential part of the live football experience. Probably best not to worry if some chants might be deemed "arrogant". |  |
