It's hard to imagine that there was anyone daft enought to believe this
but they did, in their millions. Much of what was claimed was already known to be a lie. Leaving a free trade area was always going to be fraught with costs, regulation and delay.

As with fishing where what was warned by Remain has sadly been borne out, as the truth. Farming has been hit far worse than even Remain stated - and if the Aus/NZ deals go through will be crippled.
Whilst Remain could only predict the likely result of cutting off access to the vital labour needed (likewise funding and investment) there was always the knowledge that it would hit hard, and long term. It has and is hitting hard.

I was fooled into thinking this might not be another thread about fecking Brexit.
It's done, it's b0llocks, it was a sh1t idea then and it still is now. But we need to stop all this divisive baiting, it benefits nobody at all.
Why can't the whole country just agree to bun the Tories and move forward with a bit of that spirit that was seen a couple of years back, to try and come together and stop creating division at every opportunity. Life's too short and we've all got a lot more in common than we have differences.

Project Fear said it would be and it is.
There is one easy fix that would make a lot of problems go away.
Re-join the customs union and allow free movement of trade.
We don't have to be member of the EU to make that happen.
NI problems solved in a flash.
However, as I said, Brexit has been a sh*t show.
There are only 2 things that Brexit has actually delivered with any success.
We've left the EU and ended free movement.
If you think being delayed trying to leave the country is a success that is.
Oh yea, because of the currency dip we pay more money to the EU than when we were a member and we still have to follow 95% of EU rules 'cos they're our rules too.
...and the 2 major political parties have ruled out rejoining the customs union because they might lose votes.
