What he helped with was fantastic and he should be proud but this has nothing to do with them now. The club are running their own scheme, why does Cruncher need to be on the radio to talk about it.

It's proper virtue signalling. Only do something so people know about it and for the attention.

Most decent people quietly donate, like the link I put on here yesterday to it. I'm sure a lot donated something and didn't even post on the thread that they had done.

Doing something for recognition, rather than just to help our fellow fans, sums them up as people for me.

I suspect the reaction was sparked because someone from another podcast was asked to go on and talk about PackOutPR.

The fact that they did that free season ticket as great, but lets not get it twisted, it as heavily caveated by the desire for subs.

100% this.

You don't do charity work for the recognition unless you are world class bell-end

Things like this will DEFINITELY persuade Suffolk to use BS Rich more frequently, I'm sure

It was Matt Cattee who actually proposed the original ticket donation idea. As you say, Cruncher is the archetypal virtue signaller and ran with it. So much so that they want Bedsheet to be named 'Best Influencer' in the Football League... do me a cheesy quaver!

In fairness to Richard, it’s not him whose moaning about this, it’s Matt Phillips.

It would look even weirder if he was moaning about it himself hence the different vector of attack.

I look forward to his bedsheet protest outside of Radio Suffolk.

Indeed.

And there was a prior ticket promotion back in late 2019 which had even less to do with narcissists on podcasts, think that was Karl Fuller who got that up and running.

It was a great campaign and without his input wouldn't have done anything, and the new stuff for disability team is as well and he's very good at this sort of thing

I think they have a problem, as all independent podcasts do, that the club prob want to control message if they can and no doubt they feel as though they give more to the club than they get back and it probably comes to a head at certain points internally for them

But they've gone after the club, gone after TWTD, gone after Radio Suffolk now - they just have to plough their own furrow and not worry about trying to help the club out as won't get the thanks that they want for doing so
