A little bit, but not overly concerned when you break the games down.
Bolton - No bad decisions went against us (if anything they had worse luck) but we were the better side throughout and were good value for the point.
Barnsley - Genuinely one of the worst refereeing decisions I've ever seen. Even Barnsley fans admitted as much.
Wednesday - Their winner was offside, and we were denied a 4v2 attack on the break that would have made it 3-1.
Plymouth - Beat us fair and square.
If we lose to Pompey I'll be worried, but a win would make it 1 win, 3 draws and 1 defeat from those games. Not an amazing record, but a sign we're holding our own. And so far, we've beaten all of the bottom-half sides which is what cost us last year. |

We took 21 points from a 10 game run that was 60% away games and pretty much bang on average in terms of opposition strength. Not overly bothered who the points came against in that context really. [Post edited 27 Sep 2022 14:28]

More annoyed that we are giving Portsmouth encouragement . They must be thinking if they get on top early that we, the fans, are going to turn in our own team and put them under more pressure.
The only fact that should alarm us is that we are in the habit of conceding more free kicks than our opponents, even when we dominate possession.

To turn it on it's head everyone is saying we haven't beaten a top team this season. But Plymouth apart, where we could and should have got at least a point nobody has beaten us and we are still second in the table. It will be of concern if we lost to Pompey. A win would nullify their game in hand. A point wouldn't be a disaster. Of these other teams they will no doubt lose or draw against teams we don't expect them to. What we really need to stop in it's tracks is this giving away leads. We have enough experience players to not panic. But as against Plymouth I don't want to see us trying to play triangles in dangerous areas. | | | |
