Would you take a point v Pompey on Saturday if offered now? 19:43 - Sep 28 with 6489 views | Oatkins | I would. Its more important not to lose v our promotion rivals, losses are so damaging against them. Especially as we will beat a lot of the lesser sides outside the top 6. Pompey are unbeaten and have already played the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Peterborough, Plymouth and Barnsley. So a big ask to beat them. We are capable of course. This thinking that we need to beat top 6 sides is silly, aslong as we don't lose many of them and we continue to beat the lesser sides then I'm happy.

Would you take a point v Pompey on Saturday if offered now? on 07:57 - Sep 29 by abracaDOBRA_ | They drew with Sheff Wed away Beat Peterborough at home Haven't played Barnsley as was postponed Drew with Plymouth at home So all they've beaten is Peterborough who aren't really as good this season. Meanwhile we had to play both Plymouth and sheff wed away. Should of beaten Barnsley at home if the ref wasnt inept (not an excuse). People acting as if theyve beaten all the top sides ffs. |
Should have beaten Bolton on opening day too

Would you take a point v Pompey on Saturday if offered now? on 11:40 - Sep 29 with 1645 views | itfcsuth | Away from home yes, on our patch - no chance. It is more likely that they will come and take a point from the off.
Would you take a point v Pompey on Saturday if offered now? on 15:05 - Sep 29 with 1539 views | Dyland | Obviously not ffs. We want to make top 2 and we have enough about us for that to be realistic. Whether we do or not is another matter of course because we aren't necessarily the best side in the division... indeed, currently that's hard to argue, imo. But this is the third division and it's Pompey not Man City, and we have decent players and the setup is getting there. Actually I don't know why I bothered writing that.

Would you take a point v Pompey on Saturday if offered now? on 20:00 - Sep 28 by GlasgowBlue | A win is preferable. A defeat is catastrophic. A draw is more than acceptable. All in my opinion. At least with a draw, Portsmouth don't get three points and we retain the status quo. |

Would you take a point v Pompey on Saturday if offered now? on 09:33 - Sep 29 by Oatkins | To be fair they were robbed at Wednesday first game, like we were. And Plymouth at home. I saw their highlights v Plymouth and the ball went over the line and the player handled it to prevent a goal should have been 2 nil and a red card for pafc. They've been on the end of rotten decisions like us. |
I’ve been on here 10 years this year. And this thread is undoubtedly the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen. You’re a Pompey fan pretending to be an Ipswich fan so you can talk up how amazing Portsmouth are. All of your posts are about them. You claim they’ll have 1000 in the home ends ffs. It’s nonsense. That’s the trouble with your fanbase.. you all think you’re something special but can’t comprehend that the rest of the football world sees you as a little club who are only big in their own minds.

If you say so. There aren't any big club in league one, we, Sheff Wed, Pompey, Charlton, Bolton etc all here for a reason. [Post edited 29 Sep 2022 16:01]

You don't stop being a big club if you are in League One. Just ask FGR if there is parity between our clubs. In League one we are an underachieving big club. FGR are an overachieving small club. You have found your level, which is why you feel the need to come on here and make fake accounts.

They also say the same about Pompey, Charlton and Bolton. Sheffield wednesday are the biggest club in the league by far, but then we, Pompey, Charlton Bolton are all much of a muchness and very similar. We were getting 13 to 14k under Evans under MM remember in the champ. [Post edited 29 Sep 2022 17:30]

We are considerably bigger than all three of those teams. You Portsmouth fans just want to believe you are one of us. It’s cute.

Or course we aren't. We were getting 13k to 14k in the championship. We are a big club in league one but Portsmouth, Charlton and Bolton are just as big as us. Wednesday bigger.
Would you take a point v Pompey on Saturday if offered now? on 20:52 - Sep 29 with 1149 views | ArnieM | No, a point is not good enough! It’s about time an Ipswich Town team turned up for these big games and bloody well WIN it. I’ve watched this club in so many big, must win, games over the last 50 years, and it pains me to say it, but we rarely do the business. But I’ll be there on Saturday, just like the rest of you on here, shouting myself hoarse, in the hope that we do “ turn up” and stick one on Pompey. We need to open up a gap between us. A point is not good enough. M COYFBS

And I don't think a draw would be the disaster that it would be made out to be.. But we should definitely go looking for all 3 points, at home, to anyone in this division.. I was really confident about this one a week ago. But recent results have put a bit of an edge on this game, now, for me. Probably just a hangover from last week.. If we play well we should beat Pompey. I wouldn't take the draw if it was offered pre match.

Not at all. Mick Mills constantly makes this point. In 1981 we beat Villa home and away in the league yet still became runners up. In 2000 we beat Charlton home and away. They were champions and we had to settle for the play offs. Beating fellow promotion rivals is great and I’d love us to win tomorrow. But a draw is more than ok, as even though we only get the one point, so do our rivals. We then have to beat the lesser teams. The most important thing tomorrow is that we don’t lose.
