I don't see it in town, it's run down in parts but doesn't feel edgy at all in the actual centre.
It's more when you get to Norwich Road or bottom of Spring Road where it is loads of blokes hanging round that is worse.
This will, absolutely no doubt, be gangs from the estates spilling into town rather than the usual people that hang around there all day.

I done time in hmp Norwich a couple of years back and was on A wing that was full of Ipswich boys, half of which were J Block and loads of Neno were on another wing. Can anyone explain what the difference is between a puncture wound to the stomach and a stabbing?
Just read that another man received a puncture wound, whilst being robbed of his bike and mobile phone. Fortunately, it doesn't sound as though he is too badly injured.........although I imagine this incident will badly affect him and his family. |  | | |

Such a horrid and mindless comment. We are talking here about vulnerable teenagers that have likely been groomed to join these gangs to fill a vacuum/void in their lives. It's tragic but only going to get worse whilst the country falls further and further into the mire. |  | | |

Having been following town for over 20 years travelling from Luton, I can happily tell you that you have nothing to worry about in the town centre if you're not looking for it. Compared to where I'm from/live it's a nice town with good people.
I've seen other areas of ipswich (Nacton/Norwich Road) and of course its a typical council estate area - however you could still walk through with no dramas. They need to send these kids to spend a day in deprived areas e.g Marsh Farm or Bury Park for a couple of nights. |

The EADT article which appeared in the last 30 minutes says the victim was from Norfolk but doesn't say where the assailants are from.
