Then a walk to the ground? Or taxi? Or is there a decent bus?

Depends how drunk I am I guess. Previously we used Uber and it wasn't too expensive, especially when split across a group. It's quite a long walk but not overly bad, less than 2 miles.

Not sure where a designated away pub is but The Empress is a top boozer. It's a 20 minute walk to the ground from there, you can cut through a nice bit of park land. Decent food, darts, pool, sky sports, good selection of ales and by Cambridge standards decent prices.

I've never been pre match though so not sure how busy it gets, it's tended to be a post match stop off for us for a few on the way back into the city. Break the walk up innit.

Poll: Will Boris Johnson be PM this time next week?

This suggests a pub called the Tram Depot, 20 minute walk to the ground

The Earl of Beaconsfield is a half-decent halfway stop en-route to the ground.

The Tram Depot stayed shut tilll 3 last year. The Duke of Cambridge nearby was rammed, the toilets were carnage as people kept using a broken urinal.
