Yellow Cards 14:54 - Mar 15 with 904 viewsIpswichRising

Can anybody tell me, is it all yellow cards that are wiped off after the Shrewsbury game or just those that might get to 10 yellows.

Yellow cards are not wiped off at all. The ban threshold moves from 2 game ban for 10 yellow cards to a 3 game ban for 15 yellow cards after EFL round 37 (Shrewsbury game). If Morsy picks up 15 before the end of the season he would get a 3 game ban. After game 37 there is no punishment for yellow cards until 15 are reached.

I don’t know what happens prior to the play offs though. Assume 15 card ban cannot still exist as it’s not been the same for all teams in the competition. IE 15 cards in 46 games is different to 15 cards in 49 games.

Morsy has shown though he is capable of playing effectively without the constant fouls so I hope he can avoid too many more anyway!

He's on 9 at the moment isn't he. Which would mean that if he gets through Shrewsbury he would have to pick up 6 more in the remaining 9 games. Which would be a remarkable drop in discipline as he has had one in the last 15.

Wouldn't it make sense to rest Morsy for the Shrewsbury game, or at least start with him on the bench?

He's been on nine since the Cambridge game, so he's been able to manage the situation up to now. I reckon if we're a couple of goals to the good after 60 minute he'll be rested on Saturday, though.

It'd stink of arrogance I think. Imagine if we didn't win.

I don't think we're in a position to be able to prioritise games now particularly. If we still had Plymouth to play then perhaps but we just have to win every next game put in front of us now, not worry about games after that.
