I thought he looked excellent again against Leipzig. He's one of those players who wouldn't look out of place at any level. His professionalism is second to none. It's a shame he hasn't had the opportunity to play much higher in his career.

Exactly. He's a class act isn't he. Hopefully he'll relish the opportunity to attack the champ. Still baffled why hierarchy at Boro let him go!

Couldn’t agree more with this. He’s class. One of the most complete CM’s I’ve watched ever for us. Would not look out of place at any level for me. Surprises me he hasn’t played at a higher level over here. Maybe he’ll get his chance hopefully with us. Possible peaked and found his prime whilst being here under KM.

I always think of the "water carrier" when I see him play.

I couldn't agree more. If it isn't too childish for me to have a favourite player, he's mine. He just never seems to lose the ball.

He was invisible against Werder Bremen though.

Really sorry for the down vote, blame it on my stupid fat fingers or the ridiculous way this site jumps about.Anyway I totally agree with about our skipper.I can’t recall us having a player who takes more care of the ball and is so difficult to dispossess.
