Sunderland Roll Call… 10:27 - Aug 3 with 4284 views | SitfcB | Right, who’s actually going to the season opener then? Staying over Sunday night, Premier Inn near the ground, £42.50, bargain. Driving up, plan on leaving around 7ish to get up there in good time. Nearly a home sell out. Away allocation of 2,000 has sold out but by the looks of it 1,000 of those could be returned So over 40,000 fans, live on Sky, our first Championship game in 4 years, what could go wrong eh!? Score draw for me but would love to start off with a win. COYB

Depends on how rough you want it! Lloyds Bar is the better of the two "Wetherspoons" , The Griffin on the corner by the Train Stations not too bad, some rough ones , used to love the Caledonian and has been done out but now has an interesting clientele (Beattie's Dad used to run horse racing trips from there! - funnily enough I'm paying darts in the Magpie on Monday, where Beattie spent a fair few hours in) The Apple Tree is normally a bit quieter and away from Botchergate, Howard Arms, The Boardroom and Kings Head are again off the main drag and more "middle age people" !! Send me a message on here if you fancy a beer on Saturday night

Ah The Albion as it was in the past Seems to have improved a bit over the years, to be honest The Cumberland (across the road) and The Roadhouse are the only ones that are really bad, I used to frequent The Cumberland years ago, was ok then but went down the pan, not been in for ages The Road house is down London Road, the pubs opposite St Nicholas Arms and Cranemakers are ok . best wishes!!
