Williams... First big managerial test for KM? 21:59 - Aug 23 with 7133 viewsFrimleyBlue

Forgetting the football and setting sides up etc

One of the biggest parts is the management of squad moral and the atmosphere they talk of.

Ashton and KM have both said they are very picky on who they bring in. So it's quite surprising to read up on the Williams link at some of this off field antics..

Random social media rants
Inhaling gas etc..

Purely based on YouTube vids he looks a really handy player.. but It's imo a big big test for KM on maintaining that certain atmosphere amongst the squad.

No. I didn't say he was going to be. It was more that as a signing under KM he's come with more known off field antics ( minor compared to many others however) than the other signings under KM and as we get in higher quality players, quite a few come with it. So it will be a test of any manager to either manage to stop it or manage it without it having any effects on the rest of the squad.

There's quire a few bits out there about him. But that's upto.you if you wish to view them or not or even give a sht. That's upto you.

Nicely twisted back to me. To be honest I'm more concerned with what he does on the pitch and in the community for us, rather than going digging for any negative stuff at all that he did at a previous club.

But you just keep doing you.

We're all people, makes mistakes etc. I am sure that behind the scenes McKenna has had things to deal with, that we dont know about.
A loan deal with an option to buy could be a good thing. The player will learn what this club is about and what is expected of him.
He will be fine under McKenna.

Almost like people over analyse an OP.

Fk me. What the fk is allowed to be discussed on this football tab.

Sorry presumably that was aimed at me. Not sure how to respond to your OP without addressing what it says. I’m simply interacting with your OP.

*also no need to get all sweary about what’s f’kn allowed. It’s not my site.

Well since the poster you responded to was commenting on what i wrote I think you might be being a little economic with the truth.

You'd think KM knows enough about him to warrant him coming here.
Think, in our situation, well have to take the odd, slight punt. Take on some talented players, that may have the odd sharp corner that can be shaped.
I'm only interested in what they do here, under KM, and in a really buoyant and together squad. Which could be the fresh start they need in life. Can't change the past, but you can affect the present and future..Hopefully he grabs this opportunity with a fresh vigour and kicks on in his career, with us, for now..

I rant on social media (business related stuff on Linkedin) and inhale all sorts of heinous chemicals, and I'm a lovely cuddly team player so meh.

Peer group is really important at this stage of any young man's life - coming here, he'll be surrounded by a committed and highly professional squad in a highly professional environment in an area with fewer temptations than where he is now.

He's also at an age now where he needs to playing regularly and showing that not only is he handy, but he's reliable and professional.

Do you not think Manchester United are a "highly professional environment"?

Actually, they don’t appear to be at the moment 😃.

Harsh and facetious on my part - apols. On a serious note and with zippo knowledge I suspect MUFC is structured very differently to ourselves. Size alone tells you that. Again, Manchester is a great city, but very different to Ipswich/Suffolk.

ITFC appears to be a very ‘tight’ club at the moment. It’s work ethic is different (harder according to the players who’ve commented) and he will be working directly for a coach who he will know and visa versa. It’s a club that’s moving forward; growing.

Like Hutchinson, they have a good opportunity here. I hope for us and them they take it, assuming they are able to settle.
