Nice to know that we have cute big cats in Suffolk

Definitely the only two options there, if they weren't dogs they must be lions.

Based on the topography of Suffolk I'm assuming they were mountain lions over African lions!

See "Norwich Weirdness" post by Bobbychase, which shows a tweet by Will Jennings

I think it's Will Jennings himself who was the 'big cat' sighting in Suffolk, what a massive PU55EY

I saw multiple big cats in the Norfolk countryside yesterday in a place named Banham.

Scary stuff.

There's been numerous Black Panther sightings in Suffolk for years. Pumas as well I think. There must be small numbers of them breeding.

I've seen a number of big cats in Essex.... on 14:01 - Oct 23 with 5973 viewsBloots

...a leopard, a cheetah, even a lion.

All around the Colchester area, near Stanway specifically.

So it could be true.

I aint been to Colly Zoo for years. Not since Blueas Jr was a wee nipper. They used to have a white tiger who was clearly depressed. He just paced up and down in the window thing.

Without sounding too pedantic! There's no such thing as a black panther, the word is used generically to cover a leopard, puma or Jaguar depending on location

I have just come back from Broomhill Park, after walking my dogs.

Saw a large, pure black cat. Unmistakable. My Jack Russell chased it. Looked like a puma.

And it was roughly three times her size!

Asked some fellow dog-walkers and they hadn’t seen it.

Have any of you guys heard of or actually seen one in Ipswich?

Until the early 70's anyone could buy & own any animal. When stricter laws came in many people released animals into the wild. There may have been some cross-breeding since then.

I always find it amusing to see a Polar bear in a field before the train comes into Ipswich at Jimmy's farm.

I did see a capybara in the wild in Suffolk last year. Near the Unruly Pig.

Didn't the Essex Lion turn out to be a Maine Coon out mousing?

There's loads of water deer and muntjac around too that are definitely not as timid in the wild as red deer are and wander quite near very populated areas.

The polar bear thing on the train has become my new landmark to spot on train rides.
