Been without a club for a while now, could be an excellent stop gap for us with Hirst injured.
Chris Kiwomya also available. We should get him.

I've heard on the cheesevine that we have a toss up between him or kuqi.

I'd see what Tom Garneys is up to. "Give it to Garneys" will be the cry from the north stand!

I asked my dad if he thought Ray Crawford would get into the current Town eleven.

He thought for a while and said yes before saying mind you he is 87 now.

Counago would have been excellent in this team. His hold up play was great.

The best of both players is David McGoldrick - unfortunately he’s ten years too old now.

"Dear Ted Phillips, appreciate you died nearly six years ago, but fancy a run out against Stoke?"

You're spot on with that...Chaplin esque role ?

Darryl Murphy in this team would be devastating.

From the Championship era, for McKenna's formation and system:

Scowcroft or D Bent up top.

Stephen Hunt or Murphy wide left.

McGoldrick or Counago central.

Kuqi or Walters wide right.

And, crucially, McKenna as manager.

To be honest, Marcus Stewart and D Bent (or Stewart with pretty much any of the above) in a flat 442 would work just fine!

No, a slightly tweaked formation for me, with Pablo as a 9 and Burns a bit narrower to do a bit of the closing down when out of possession. A bit more work to do for Clarke/Williams but by the gods, the lay offs to Chaplin/Broadhead/Burns would be magnificent.

I remember watching him with his back to the goal much more than facing it,a thing of holding up and laying off beauty,

Me too. He could do that al day long, then throw in a bit of Frans Thijssen magic and skin half a dozen defenders.

Edit: Naughty boy spelt one of Town's greatest ever players surnames wrong.
