Should stay, and for me is contending to start after today. We shouldn’t be thinking of offing him to Portsmouth. Loan them Baggott, he’d thrive in a promotion chasing side and it will benefit us to give him that chance. Edmundson should remain here, with Wolfenden, Burgess and Axel T. and Baggott we finally have a selection of good centre half’s to decide from. A bit like Burley had Mowbray, Venus, McGreal, Bramble and Brown on the books.

I think we've got 4 good central defenders now. All growing in experience, good ages, fit and playing well when called upon. It's not a problem area at all and not one I would tinker with right now. Perhaps if Fridge wants assurances of regular football then a conversation might need to take place in the summer, but there's not much value in that now IMO (for either party I wouldn't think). |
I think that's right. He's got a chance now to nail down a place in the team with Burgess away. If he didn't have that, then I could see why he might want a loan elsewhere to get games, though. |  | | |
