I wish I could be that optimistic. I see that as Leeds have been underachieving and are bound to put it right, probably starting tonight. There's no logic behind that - i'm just a miserable sod

Why does it mean less than at any other stage of the season?

If in doubt, maybe look at some of the recent results. Teams are beating sides they shouldn't according to form and table position. The teams at the top are a little more nervous than normal, but get off to a good start and then anything can happen.
