With all the stupid rumours going around, I want to see just how expensive I can get this team during the summer.
Edit: I've made a few changes. Where we don't have a reported fee, I've used Transfermarkt, designated by a *. Transfermarkt is in Euros, but I can't be bothered to XE figures into Pounds
I must have counted incorrectly before, We're up to 172.5m...

There's another young lad from Chelsea that we've been linked with. Can't remember his name but apparently he had a cracking season on loan at a promotion winning championship club

KM said he wanted to sign him for his birthday... Not sure I can count that as a rumour!!

Dr Rob reckons we could spend 100m in the summer...
He must be reading this post
Dr. Rob has got it to a tee.
Whereas some on here have not with their expansive plans for signings (I realise that the O/P is tongue in cheek with this one.)
Our hierarchy will be well aware that splashing out on a whole host of PL quality players with PL level wage demands will leave us with such a financial millstone around our necks, should we not survive our first season. A wage bill that even parachutes will not cover in the long run as tv income decreases and possibly match day income too.
They will plan for all possibilities, and a sensible compromise will be the order of the day. In truth, we haven't a clue just how well McKenna and the current squad, including with a few sensible additions, will do next season.
There have been so many examples after all of relegated clubs being lumbered with excessive wages bills who rapidly slide down the leagues.
