Great weekend, boy do the Germans love a beer! Many are flying home today nursing very sore heads, I am heading home tomorrow, the game was good, the atmosphere was fantastic all game. Fans around us were going to the bars for another round as soon as the cups were empty, loads smoking as well, attendance was just over 50,000, many cycled to the stadium, they played singing the blues for us pre-match to the amusement of Magdeburg fans who played in blue. Lovely speech from Ulli after the game to us and we sang Ipswich songs in the concourse after the game finished, Düsseldorf fans joined in the fun and we sang the shizzer Koln song with them. Brilliant weekend, lovely City and we were made very welcome everywhere. Hope Town get well stocked with a good Green King Pilsner lager for the friendly. I am not sure how they will last 45 minutes without a beer at Portman Road as they could only manage 4 - 5 minutes on Sunday! I am so glad we went. |  |
