McKenna I think it will be Us or ManU 18:12 - May 23 with 1167 viewswhymark4lazio0

His options:

a) Stay- on a MUCH higher (5 times current?) salary. Continue his fantastic relationship with Ashton, owners & supporters. Finish the project.
b) Brighton- Similar club to ITFC but with a fully formed PL squad but is BHAFC close to its ceiling?
c) Chelsea- terribly run club (worst in country?). Would KM tolerate the Chelsea 'culture'? Is KM their first choice?
d) Man Utd. Will new ownership structure at the club make it more stable? Man Utd is KM's first love- will that be the clinching factor? Is KM ManU's first choice?

My gut feel is that KM has loved his time at Ipswich and only a once in a lifetime opportunity will persuade him to abandon the project. I don't think KM would see Brighton or Chelsea as that once in a lifetime opportunity. However, If Man Utd make it clear he's their first choice and that they will give him time and free rein, I suspect KM will be tempted. BUT those are two huge 'IFs'..

Conclusion:- 2/3 chance KM will stay, 1/3 chance the pull of ManU will tempt him away.
Whatever he decides, I won't have a bad word against him and wish him well.

Poll: Should these Polls show number of votes as well as percentages?

I'd always thought that the two jobs he'd have always left for if offered are united and spurs, particularly the former. He's still young but that job may never come up at the right time again.
Brighton is the one option I'd hope he wouldn't take. The ambition we have here is to become like them within a couple of years. He'd go there with little prospect of making them much better with all the pressure short and medium term in respect of results which he wouldn't have here.
Chelsea? Well, good luck with that one.

Agree, he's holding out for Man Utd but open to other clubs too.

He wants to go but will be forced to stay put if nothing else is forthcoming.

Poll: Should there be stickied threads for hot topics (e.g. matchday/McKenna rumours)?

Brighton have already peaked. That's a very risky move.

He would get more credit finishing 17th with us than he would for finishing 10th with Brighton.

Poll: Would Lambert have acheived better results than Cook if given the same resources

My resolve that it was always Man U .or stay put was shaken a bit by Chelsea's interest, but nevertheless, if the stories of his reps with United talks are true and these along with his own reluctance to sign a new contract are put together then the outcome of tomorrow's FA Cup Final may be vital.

Manchester United can hardly sack a manger a few days before an FA Cup Final.

Whether winning a major trophy is enough to save Den Hag is another consideration.

It’s not. Decision has already been made to let ETH go after cup final, win or lose.

Poll: Is it now time to sack Paul Cook?
