It’ll either be a big boy away and the first game of the season live on the Friday.

Or Leicester/Southampton away 3pm Saturday, like Sheffers I think it’ll be an away game first giving more time for the work at PR to be completed.

This would make sense, and if u then add in that 7 of the away matches are in London , the that is over a one in three chance.

West Ham often played near Christmas. When in the same division.

Fulham and Brentford we have played first game in last few years , so let’s go Palace away.

They seem to like a 'lower' side to be at home to one of the leading contenders to start the season - I did wonder if they might line up a trip from one of this season's top three but you could be right, we might be away on opening weekend to give us more time to work on Portman Road.

It's hugely important to get a good start. I think the theory of getting the big teams early is better, as, they don't always bother to do their homework on us early in the season. Complacency.

Worth a look at our fixtures in 00/01 as I think they were easier than 01/02. And, of course, we were weaker and teams had worked us out. And we were in Europe.
