I was surprised that, after switching over to the Italy Albania game a few minutes after the first goal in expectation of an upset and then expecting the Italians to go on the rampage after two goals, I carried on watching an, in effect, goalless game for seventy five minutes and didn't feel that it was wasted time at the end of the match - which I might have done if I had stuck with my original plan of watching the full replay of Germany against Scotland at half one in the morning. Luckily, sort of, the blabbermouth BBC left an alert on my phone about the score and I decided that the highlights (!) of that one would do. |  |
