Am I the only person not excited by this transfer…he has no premiership experience, not at an age that means he’s gonna develop a lot more, yes he scored a lot of goals last season but hardly been prolific apart from that.
I’m very happy to be proven wrong and we haven’t made many mistakes over the last couple of years with the transfers but unless the fee is low, which I doubt, doesn’t seem like one that fits with McKenna/Ashton recent dealings. | | | |

Am I the only person not excited by this transfer…he has no premiership experience, not at an age that means he’s gonna develop a lot more, yes he scored a lot of goals last season but hardly been prolific apart from that.

Morsy is 32 and he's developed pretty nicely under McKenna. Why couldn't Szmodics get better? Trust the outstanding coaching we now offer.

Survival isn't the only aim. We will aim to win every game, like we did last season, and the season before. We will see where that takes us, as we did last season, and the season before. If it is survival, great. If it is higher, fantastic.
Why not aspire for Europe and greatness? We didn't limit ourselves last season, why do it this season. |  |

Doesn't excite me but I thought someone would be silly Nd pay £25-20 million for him. If the price is £6-8 then it's a decent signing for the squad.

I don’t think 28 is old if he was the finished article and had a few consistent goal scoring seasons under his belt and Championship or Premiership level.
But it’s of the back of one decent season. I think we want a proven premiership player to add to our midfield. I wouldn’t mind if it was a free agent but to pay a fee which won’t be insignificant along with the other things I’ve mentioned just seem to make this a attractive deal. | | | |

Like I also said we’ve haven’t got many transfers wrong in last couple of seasons so I’ll be happily proved wrong if we sign him. It’s not just the fee I guess he’ll want big wages too.
Morsy and Luongo in midfield were great last season. We got overrun at times in the championship so I don’t see them both starting in the premiership. | | | |
