Following the signing of Muric and Talksport's assessment that there is "no way" we will go down are the following objective contributions:

"No other newly promoted side has been given this type of hype out of nothing from them."

"Looking at this team ,as dispassionately as is possible, its genuinely one of the weakest sides in premier league history...and thats with Philogene in it, who now wont be there"

The consensus appears to be that none of our players would get in their team..............

Let's not worry about a few biased comments from our local rivals. Maybe it'll be a disaster and we'll lose every match or perhaps we'll be in the top six...who knows. Fingers crossed for the latter. Let's just deal in facts.

Watched some of their fan forum with Knapper, the Danish bloke and Zoe Ward.

Knapper spouts drivel, just a meandering stream of cliche riddled verbal dysentery.

Their alleged saviour, the American shareholder Attanasio, is apparently looking at other investments like Benfica.

No wonder, because it's clear Norwich are going absolutely nowhere with those three rookies at the helm.

The amount of delusional cope over the past few years on that website is something for medical experts to research.

From us definitely never getting promoted from league 1, to coming straight back down when we did, to falling away after our good start in the champ To end mid table, to them finishing above us and kicking us from the play offs, to begging for Leeds and Southampton to do anything to stop us and failing. Now they’re suddenly experts on every player we’ve signed, know exactly how they will fit into our systems and are already anticipating overtaking us in May.

It must be truly sickening for them to see how a well run club works in the Prem after their numerous pathetic attempts at it. Knowing they’re a poverty stricken mid table championship side after getting rid of the two men who drove them towards success despite how badly run they are.

I can’t wait to see how the clown show plays out there this season and I only hope this is just the start of a miserable few decades for them

I find it funny the amount of time they spend saying itfc fans cant stop talking about them, whilst having a number of threads, such as the thread listed here, specifically talking about us.

Its incredible the over inflated view they have of themselves and their players, all the while having the opinion that last seasons championship was poor, ignoring the fact of the amount of points required to get promoted battling teams like leeds, leicester and southampton who have all been in the prem in recent years and have very good players. I have seen on their posts one comment on the fact they were able to make the playoffs as a reason to the season being poor because of their injuries etc, so which is it, are you as good as you say you are, or are you really that poor that an entire season can be labelled as below par because you made the playoffs?

For me personally they cant handle the fact that we got promoted and have owners and staff that are getting results and putting us in the spotlight in all the right ways. A manager who excels at getting the best from the squad and making a name for himself. No one knows how we are going to do in the prem, all we have to go on is the good work that has led us to this point, and therefore gives us confidence that we have a chance of staying up and doing even better than that, maybe.

the one (two) disappointments from last season was not making our domination at FPR count and team (sickness in camp) and fans (to many freebies) not turning up at at their dump.
When in reality both team and fans were magnificent

It seems to me that the shock of our very rapid return to our traditional position, clear once more at the apex of East Anglian football, has violently split the poor budgies into groups dependent, probably, on their core personalities.

Those who are secure in themselves (and there are quite a lot of them) seem happy(?) to admit that we did exceptionally well to come second in the best ever top four in the Championship, fully deserve our promotion reward, and actually have a management, recruitment policy and style which may well see us do well as a newly promoted team. Many are big enough to admit that this is a good thing for football.

Then, diametrically opposed, are the dummy-spitting ranters who claim we were lucky with who we played last season (I know), that we have overspent on players that wouldn't get into their team (Greaves vs. Handley! Hutch vs. Rowe!), that McKenna will soon leave (again?) and that we're planning for immediate relegation.

The former outnumber the latter by some way, I would say, and you can almost hear them tut-tutting in their responses to their soaking-nappied brethren, as they say "Why do we have to have another thread about the Binners? Can't we just pretend our rivals are Colchester?"

They had, as an Irish YouTuber puts it "Marco f**king Stiepermann" and "Teemu f**king Pukki" as their main attacking threats in The Prem. The only player with any class they had was Buendia who is now a Villa flop.

There’s a lot of nonsense about us on their sites. But there is from us about them also. This view that some of them have that none of our players would get in their team is complete nonsense.

They look to have appointed a promising young manager, they haven’t sold anyone yet, so as it stands I would put them in with a good chance of getting in the play offs if they can keep Rowe, Sargent fit.

Hope they struggle though, as I’ve said for a while, never has a fan base needed humbling as much as theirs.

They said our squad wasn’t good enough for the championship. Even after a good start we would fall away. So they have a track record of not being good judges.

They massively overhype their own players at the same time. They need to have another look at their play off game to get a feel for how p1ss they are when the pressure is on.

Truthfully nobody knows how we will do in the Prem. All the management at ITFC can do is get the best possible for the money they have and to spend within the fair play rules. I think the way they are going about purchases is spot on. Get players in that can do one of two things. Sustain us in the Premier League or be worth more than they are currently should the worst happen and we get demoted. Getting a team to stay in the Prem for many seasons isn't easy. The Budgies will know this all to well having been a yo-yo club who I think may unless investment and purchases end up for many years bouncing about in the Championship because as many teams find now that those coming down are more set up to go up again. What we are currently doing is shifting those out that weren't good enough for the Championship, just as we did the season before. I'd guess that if we managed to hang on in the Prem we would then move on from 15 million pound players to those in the 25-30 million bracket. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. We have hopefully moved on from the 20 odd years of abject failure and can look forward to a brighter future.

We may well be relegated next year and if we do it will not be a disaster. We may have bought Championship level players but all of them are young and have potential of 80 plus on The EA Sports database which is generally a good indicator which would make them good Premier League Players in a few years time. If we do go down we will have a very strong Championship side. KM is playing proverbial chess and looking 3 or 4 moves ahead and not paying a washed up Lingard and Shelvey £150 grand and £100 grand a week respectively putting the future of our club in jeopardy.

I wonder if any of them sit back for a second and consider the irony that they were having similar thoughts this time last year. I remember them telling us we'll be shocked at the step up, how hard the Championship is now, 'not played anyone good yet', 'bubble will burst' etc.

Yet that L1 side won more than their 2nd year parachute team with plodders like Ashley Barnes on £40k a week. We lost less, scored more, conceded less and ultimately finished 23 points above them. In fact, they were as close to relegation as they were to us come the end of the season by way of points.

Let them delude themselves, they're an irrelevance by way of past achievements and an irrelevance in the present.

Norwich fans, or at least the more rabid ones, always had a dislike of favourable opinions about Ipswich expressed on Talksport.

When we were last in the top flight one Norwich fan had a rant at Hawksbee & Jacob about their love of all things Ipswich. He ended saying Ipswich isn’t the answer. They responded by introducing a short segment to their show “The answer is Ipswich” they would ask a question that could only have one correct answer “Ipswich”.

That squad is not ready for the Premier League because we still haven't finished our transfers. We will never have the weakest squad in history because Norwich made it to the Prem at least 2 times!

I don't why people get worked up about 'obsession' with Nodge and them with us. We are rivals, it's how things should be.

We can grudgingly respect that they have had the upper hand in recent years. They should respect that we have had more success historically and are once again in the ascendency.

Both sides should, however, heartily despise the other and knock everything they do or say.
